Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested William Scherer, 39, of Bloomville last week Monday charging him with one count of first-degree criminal contempt, a class-E felony. Scherer was arraigned in Town of Kortright Justice Court and released to reappear at a later date.
Shandaken Police report the arrest Saturday of John Walley, 20, of Pine Hill after they received a complaint alleging that Walley had non-consensual sexual contact with a 16-year-old female in December of last year.
Walley was charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of sexual misconduct, all misdemeanors.
He was arraigned in Shandaken Town Court and released on his own recognizance after the judge put an order of protection in place for the alleged victim.
Ehab Berjaoui, 34, of Arkville was arrested Friday by state police and charged with issuing a bad check to an unidentified complainant.
Police say Berjaoui appeared in Middletown Justice Court where he pled guilty, was ordered to make restitution and paid a $50 fine.
James E. Brunner, 23, of Hobart faces a number of drug charges after he was arrested by state police Friday following a traffic stop on Route 10 in Hobart.
Police say a search of Brunner’s vehicle yielded marijuana, a large white bottle containing pills and an empty pharmacy bottle for Oxycodone Hydrochloride.
Brunner faces a number of charges including third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation, DWI and other drug related charges.
He was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
He was scheduled to reappear in Stamford Justice Court yesterday for a felony hearing.
Matthew W. Outsen, 23, of Delhi was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 10 near Hamden for a traffic violation.
Outsen was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Hamden Justice Court on February 4.
Devin C. DuMortier, 29, of Walton was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI.
DuMortier was arraigned in Town of Hamden Justice Court and released to reappear on January 28.
Belinda M. Makara, 32, of Big Indian was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after she was stopped for a traffic violation.
Makara was issued appearance tickets returnable in Middletown Justice Court on February 4.
