Tremperskill Boys play Saturday

Andes — The Tremperskill Boys will bring their high-energy, fiddle-driven music with them when they open the season at the Pleasant Valley Meeting House on Saturday, May 8 at 7 p.m.
This skilled band of musicians is intent on pleasing with less well-known but musically well crafted Irish, Scottish and Appalachian tunes brought to life with the accordion, claw hammered banjo, flute and fiddles. The band chooses tunes which preserve the regional music played in the Catskills from porches, kitchens, churches and granges.
The men and women of the Tremperskill Boys have stretched their performance experience by playing with Hilton and Stella Kelly at various dances and at the Ashokan Center celebrating the Maple Fest, at the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta for a local film and at Casey Joe’s in Arkville.
Come out on May 8 to the charming Pleasant Valley Meeting House on county Route 1 outside of Andes. There is a suggested donation of $8.
