Three artists offer Pakatakan demos

Halcottsville — Three area craftspeople will demonstrate their skills at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market at the Round Barn in Halcottsville on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Tabitha Gilmore-Barnes will use a tabletop loom to demonstrate the multiple designs available with one or two favorite four-harness weave patterns. She will also give demonstrations of tapestry weaving on a frame loom.
Other artists who will be at the market that day include Karen Lloyd who will demonstrate the spinner’s wheel and Turid Murad who will show various knitting techniques.
This week’s demonstration is sponsored by the Catskill Artisans’ Guild. This is the final Saturday of the regular season at the market. The traditional Holiday Market is set for Saturday, Nov. 21.
