"Take Your Child to the Library" event this Saturday

When you take your child to the library, you encourage their imagination, first through picture books and rhymes and later through chapter books and books on a favorite hobby or subject.
The Fairview Public Library (Fairview) will be joining libraries across America as they celebrate this special bond between children and libraries with the third annual “Take Your Child to the Library” day on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Families are invited to try the Fairview Scavenger Hunt and make some seasonal crafts during the day.
“Fairview offers a wide variety of books, DVDs, and Internet resources to help children’s imaginations and with their school assignments,” said Fairview director Susan Carver.  “We encourage families to stop by on “Take Your Child to the Library” day and see the new books that we added to our collection.”

The Fairview Public Library is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
