The Community Storytelling Troupe invites you to join the “Story Circle,” an informal gathering of new and experienced storytellers.  Story Circle starts at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 at the Andes Public Library’s interim location at 295 Main Street in Andes (directly across the road from The Hunting Tavern and bank).
Story Circle is great fun for all because anything goes.  If you’ve never tried your hand at storytelling before and would like a little taste of what it might be about, even if you just want to come along and listen – then Story Circle is for you!
If you’re somebody who has had a chance to share stories with other folks, and want to try it again – whether with a new story or one that’s tried and true – then Story Circle is for you!
For even more experienced tellers, too, Story Circle is also for you!  Come try out new material or brush the dust off an old tale you haven’t told in years, give support to new tellers, or simply spend an evening immersed in the world of story.
Beginners and experienced tellers, young and old…all are welcome!
Also, on Friday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m., professional storyteller and author Jack Maguire will enchant folks of all ages with his fascinating performance of both traditional and original stories.
All Community Storytelling Troupe events are free and open to the public.  For more information about “Story Circle” or the concert with Jack Maguire, please contact Troupe Director Laurie McIntosh at home at 845 676-4727 or at the Andes Library at 676-3333 on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays between 5 and 8 p.m.
