Utilizing radiation cradles as sculptural totems, Marion Behr creates poignant symbols that hearken back to the trials of her personal fight against breast cancer, the emotional journey of her time spent receiving radiation treatment, and the message of hope and regeneration that these colorful, expressive objects inspire. Each cradle is part of an intimate, highly-personal narrative told with raw candor. And though they document the whole range of emotions the artist experienced during her treatment and recovery, they ultimately speak to the resilience of the human spirit. This exhibition runs through July 7. For more information visit www.marionbehr.com.
