RPI grads wed in July

Mr. and Mrs. Darren SeelMr. and Mrs. Darren SeelMegan Porter of Margaretville and Darren Seel of Colchester, Conn. were united in marriage on July 31, 2010 at the Plum Tree in South Kortright. The Reverend Bert More officiated.

Megan was attended by Eliza Todd Gardiner, Megan Stine, Rabecka Bourke Koons, longtime friends, Samantha Fontaine, cousin of the groom and Annie Trujillo, sister-in-law of the bride.

Darren was attended by Ryan Brothers and Robert Lahey, longtime friends, Christopher Gendron, cousin of the groom and Jed Porter, brother of the bride.

Hannah Gardiner was flower girl and Gavin Gardiner was ring bearer.

Megan’s uncle and cousins, Edgar, Thomas and Michael Scudder, provided music for the service.
The couple met at RPI, from which they both graduated. Megan, 29, is an IT team leader at GE Energy in Schenectady, and is pursuing an M.B.A. at SUNY Albany.

Darren, 28, receives his PhD in polymer chemistry from the University of South Carolina in August, and is seeking employment.

Megan is the daughter of Mike and Becky Porter of Margaretville and Darren is the son of Richard and Denise Seel of Colchester, Conn. Megan graduated from Margaretville Central School. Darren graduated from high school on Fishers Island.

Following the wedding, the couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean. They reside in Rotterdam.
