Roxbury Library book discussions planned for fall

The Roxbury Library Association will offer a four-month “Reading Between the Lines” (RBTL) adult book discussion group beginning in September.
Led by Roxbury resident Ellen Stewart, the Roxbury Library Association’s fall 2009 RBTL program will focus on the NYCH-initiated theme “Wasting Away: Contemporary Writing on Environmental Crises” and will cover the following books on the specified dates and times:
Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1-3 p.m., Garbage Land: On The Secret Trail of Trash, by Elizabeth Royle.
Saturday, Oct. 17 from 1-3 p.m., White Noise by Don DeLillo.
Saturday, Nov. 14 from 1-3 p.m., Water Wars: Privatization, Pollution and Profit by Vandana Shiva.
Saturday, Dec. 12 from 1-3 p.m., Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.
