Roxbury Business mixer on tap for Jan. 28
The Greater Roxbury Business Association (GRBA) will hold its first business mixer and networking event of the year called Dare to Share – Roxbury Dream Campaign. The event will take place Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m., at Queens Mountain Café, 53470 State Highway 30.
Dare to Share – Roxbury Dream Campaign will feature people with great ideas and dreams of becoming entrepreneurs as well as established business leaders in an attempt to inspire others to do the same: be a dream weaver, not just a dreamer. This event will be moderated by Joe Massa, co-owner of The Roxbury Motel.
It is the first in a series that will address other topics of interest to entrepreneurs, such as how to start a business, how to draft a business plan, how to secure funding, and other topics of interest. It is meant to encourage talented people with business ideas to believe that “they can do it,” and transition from planning to implementation.
This is a potluck event: bring light appetizers to pass along. There will be open bar until 6 p.m.; after 6 p.m. a discounted cash bar will be available.
The event is free and open to the public. A suggested donation of $10 will help GRBA advance its mission to continue to foster economic development opportunities in Roxbury.
