Roxbury Arts Group volunteers honored

Roxbury — Kevin Prior of Stamford and Charles Kowalski of Denver received the first annual Nancy Harding Volunteer Service Award from the Roxbury Arts Group, this past Saturday at a volunteer appreciation event held at the Roxbury Arts Center in Roxbury.  Each was in attendance to receive their awards from Nancy Harding, for the whom the award was named after.  
Prior was recognized for his work and service to creating and running the very popular Open Mic JAM! held the first Friday of every month at 76 MAIN! and Kowalski was recognized for his many hours of service at events held throughout the year.  
Also on hand to give thanks to all the volunteers attending the event along with Prior and Kowalski, were board members Andrew Weiss, Joanne Finberg, Elaine Grandy, Teddy Slater and Ros Welchman, program director Maggie Cullen, and executive director Jenny Rosenzweig.  The event ended with a song performed by young volunteers Sevran Kane and KP Prior.
