Railroad is an appealing attraction

To The Editor:
Our family of five enjoys traveling the country and visiting area railroads. The Catskill Mountain Railroad is certainly appealing. But to sacrifice a portion of this railroad for a trail is poor judgment at best.
Trails are a dime a dozen. But a working railroad through your beautiful area is a strong draw. We would visit for a train ride, but never consider the trip for a trail.
