“Share Your Life,” an installation project by David Kenny and Diana Cozzens, will open at the Walt Meade Gallery of The Roxbury Arts Group on Saturday, April 26. An opening reception will be  held from 2 to 4 p.m.

The work on exhibit, created over a 10-year period, is a collection of found objects, sculpture, paintings and prints. Kenny and Cozzens, who share a home in Oneonta, say that this show is “about living together, creating together, having a vision and sharing it. The work is a collection of our habits, rituals and our day-to-day living. These works are a portrait of who we are, where we have been and how we envision the future. The work on display is work we have created together — not just in a constructive, tactile, medium sense but in a shared, inspired, spiritual and energetic sense. The scope is much larger than solely creating art in a studio with just one mind — these works are our life, our atmosphere, our past and our future. This is how we learn as a couple, as friends and as lovers.”

Diana Cozzens was born at home in upstate New York and has been “playing” with art for over 15 years. Diana works in many mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, clothing construction and movement exploration. She is a lover of nature, an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys the lessons and beauty that nature offers, a passion that is reflected in her work.

David Kenny has been living in upstate New York since 1986 and has been making art for over 20 years, starting as a nature oriented artist working with wood, sticks and rope.

The Walt Meade Gallery is at 5025 Vega Mountain Road in Roxbury. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays and holiday Mondays by appointment. 607 326-7908.
