Quilting demos at market Saturday

Halcottsville —The textile team of Jeremy and Claire Herz will demonstrate fusible quilting techniques from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 4 as the final event of the ”Catskill Arts & Air” festival series at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market on Route 30, Halcottsville. Events are free.

Jeremy and Claire Herz are a mother and son team of textile artists. Jeremy is predominantly a designer, while Claire is well-versed in all aspects of quilting. Since then through 4-H, Jeremy has learned to work with animals and raises money through his art to help other children and animal shelters. He has won many awards at the state level for his textile sculptures and he is currently writing his second book.
