Police News: July 14, 2010

Shandaken Police report the arrest of Rafael R. Santiago, 55, of Willow on charges of DWI and having an open alcoholic-beverage container in a motor vehicle. Santiago was issued appearance tickets returnable in Shandaken Justice Court at a later date.

State police arrested Lisa M. Paradies, 39, and her daughter, Christina Vitale, 18, both of Arkville on June 28 on a criminal summons issued by the Town of Middletown Justice Court charging them with disorderly conduct for an incident that occurred on May 17 in Arkville. Police say the two women engaged in an argument with a third party during which they allegedly yelled and used foul obscene language. They were issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court.

Wade M. Johnson, 32, of Schenevus was arrested by state police on July 3 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Lake Street in Stamford for having a loud exhaust.
Police say they charged Johnson when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .16 percent, twice the legal limit. Johnson was issued appearance tickets returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on July 21.

James E. Otis, 51, of Virginia was arrested by state police on July 7 and charged with DWI following an investigation that took place in Roxbury.
Police say they charged Otis when he allegedly failed a field blood alcohol test.
Otis was arraigned in Town of Roxbury Justice Court and ordered held in the county jail on $10,000 cash bail due to possible violations of his parole conditions in Virginia.

Kyle J. Oakley, 19, of Bloomville was arrested by state police Friday and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped for allegedly running a red light at the intersection of routes 10 and 23 in Stamford. Oakley was issued appearance tickets returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on July 21.

Brittney J. Savage, 20, of East Meredith was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI after she was stopped on Route 23 in Stamford for a traffic violation. Police say they charged Savage when her blood alcohol content allegedly tested .15 percent. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on July 21.

Lisa A. Knipper, 42, of Bloomville was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after she was stopped on Route 10 in the Town of Kortright for a traffic violation. Police say Knipper’s license had been suspended for failure to pay a previous fine. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Kortright Justice Court on July 20.
