Open Eye Theater fund-raiser rolls Sunday on DURR
The Open Eye Theater invites you aboard the Memorial Day Express for an evening of motion, magic and mystery! The historic Delaware and Ulster Railroad train pulls out of the Arkville station at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 25.
Those lucky enough to be on board will be entertained by the motion of Belly Dancing by Candace as she shakes her bells from car to car while they enjoy a gourmet dinner. The magic is provided by Art Martello of Catskill Magic who will dazzle young and old alike as the train meanders through the picturesque countryside. The Marvalous Martello will also mystify the travelers when they depart the train at the Roxbury Station while the engineer prepares for the return trip. Back on board, the entertainment continues as the mystery boxes of valuable gifts and goodies are auctioned off one by one. The train returns to Arkville at 9 p.m. when Candace and Art will stage a grande finale at the station as happy travelers detrain after an unparalled evening of food, drink and entertainment.
The menu for the evening includes hors d’oeuvres, a main course of your choice of Prime Rib, Chicken Marsala, or Eggplant Parmesan plus a selection of scrumptious desserts. Wine and soft beverages are included.
