"Old Bat Factory" to be auctioned Dec. 5
Arkville — “The Old Bat Factory,” an Arkville property that served for many years as a preparation facility for Louisville Slugger baseball bats, will be put up for public auction on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m.
After the mill closed, the building was utilized as an automobile museum and most recently as the manufacturing plant for G. Willikers, as a children’s clothing company. An auction preview is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
This 18,000-square-foot industrial building is situated on 2.5 acres. The facility currently is configured into 20 rooms, including manufacturing, warehouse and office space. There are four access roads and the building is only 1/10th of a mile from Route 28. The building has 600-amp 3-phase electric, municipal sewer and water and also includes a loading dock.
The acreage around the building is mostly flat and offers additional potential for business usage.
