Charles and Katy Gray of Las Vegas spent a week with his mother Jean Gray and visited his father Nelson “Bud” Gray at Mountainside Residential Care Center.
Dave and Georgia Taylor visited Barbara Hill at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown Saturday.
Wanda Lanzi, Ginny McCumber and Tillie Fairbairn met at Barbara’s Wednesday to play cards.
Burton and Kathy Lanzi of Marion, N.C. spent from Thursday to Monday with his mother Wanda Lanzi. Shara Lanzi of Chatham, their daughter, spent Friday and Saturday with them and her grandmother Lanzi. Rosemary Wisniewski of Highland Falls spent the weekend with her mother and brother. Saturday night Ila Faulkner and Paula Dobsa joined them for dinner. Sunday Barbara Kapitko was a dinner guest.
Linda Bosley’s mother, Elizabeth Roche, fell and broke her hip and is in the Margaretville Hospital. Linda wants to thank Sally, the school bus driver, and Pat Connell for their assistance.
Dorothy Maffei is home after having hip surgery.
New Kingston Valley Grange held their meeting Thursday night, June 4. They held election of officers and Edwin Vermilyea was re-elected Master; Overseerer, Marian Schimmell; Lecturer, Sandra Greene; Steward, Bud Barnes; Asst. Steward, Dave Taylor; Lady Asst. Steward, Tillie Fairbairn; Chaplain, Thelma Ruff; Treasurer, Barbara Condon; Secretary, Janet Vermilyea; Gatekeeper, Douglas Condon; Ceres, Wanda Lanzi; Pomona, Peg Barnes; Flora, Barbara Kapitko; Flag Bearer, William Ruff; Pianist, Barbara Condon and third year Executive Committee, Douglas Condon.
Due to the election of officers the Lecturer didn’t have a program but did announce the birthdays: Amy Taylor the 17th, Ken Taylor, 25th, Georgiana Stanbridge the 6th.
Anniversaries: Anthony and Linda Ploutz the 9th, Bill and Betty Elliott the 14th and Doug and Barb Condon the 25th.
Last week Wednesday Wanda Lanzi, Barbara Kapitko and Ginny McCumber played cards with Tillie Fairbairn at her home in Margaretville.
Doug and Barbara Condon were in Fort Plain Friday to attend the funeral of his brother, James (Stub) Condon, who passed away Sunday evening at the Countryside Nursing Home. Extended sympathy to the family.
Fred Lanzi of Wendell, N.C. and Bob Vasburg of Ruffin, N.C., arrived Thursday night and spent until Monday with his mother Wanda Lanzi. While here they attended their 40th class reunion at SUNY in Delhi on Friday and Saturday.
Margaretville-New Kingston Presbyterian Church held a picnic Sunday at the Grange Hall.
