New Kingston News: June 11, 2008

New Kingston Valley Grange held their regular meeting on June 5 with Master Edwin Vermilyea. They voted in Pat Clark as third year executive committee member. Three get well cards were passed around for Bill Ruff, Sandra Greene and Barbara Kapitko. Barbara Clark, activity director for June, will be showing a movie. Please bring dessert for refreshments.
Lecturer Georgia Taylor announced the birthdays for June: Amy Taylor and Ken Taylor 14th, Jean Rynack 28th. Anniversaries: Anthony and Lynda Ploutz 9th, Bill and Betty Elliott 14th and Doug and Barb Condon 25th.
Georgia held a quiz on how many presidents’ wives you could name. She also read an article. Her closing thought was “If two men agree on everything, you may be sure that one of them is doing the thinking.”
Ed and Janet Vermilyea will attend the Pomona meeting Saturday at Walton.
Barbara Condon and Wanda Lanzi were in Cooperstown on Wednesday of last week where they visited Barbara Kapitko at Bassett Hospital. Barbara is now in Margaretville Hospital for rehab.
David Hosier of West Deptford, NJ spent a few days last week with his mother Doris Hosier.
Betty Elliott attended the Delaware County Republican meeting Saturday at the Delhi Courthouse. She also accompanied her daughter Marjorie Trelease to the Historical Center.
