Maryann Schmiser of Napanoch visited her mother Faye Van Benschoten and son Andy Saturday.
Doug and Barb Condon met their daughter Karen Dahlgreen and son Logan and Meghan Saturday at Phoenicia for lunch to celebrate Barb’s birthday.
Bill and Betty Elliott attended an 80th birthday gathering Saturday for Patrick Benjamin at East Meredith.
The Grange ladies will be meeting Friday at the hall to sew.
The Grange held a game night Thursday with several members attending and enjoyed themselves. They had two guests, Cedric and Curtis Taylor.
Fred and Joann Lanzi of Wendell, NC and daughter Anne of Ashville, NC spent over a week with his mother Wanda Lanzi and her mother Betty Griffin of Arkville. Burton and Kathy Lanzi of Marion, NC spent from Tuesday to Sunday morning, Frank and Rosemary Wisniewski of Highland Falls spent from Wednesday to Sunday afternoon with their mother Wanda Lanzi. Shara Lanzi and her grandmother Kathrine Kern of Chatham spent Friday with her grandmother Lanzi and family. Other guests for Friday night supper were Mike Kapitko, Paula Dobsa and Ila Faulkner.
Robert Etherson, Dermot McGrath and Dr. Ching and Dr. Quang were Saturday visitors of Wanda Lanzi.
The doctors are here on an educational Visa to study Emergency Medical Service in USA hospitals in order to set up a system for the Viet Duc University Hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam where they both practice medicine.
Mr. McGrath, who is the former director of the Babylon Town Red Cross and Bob Etherson, in cooperation with the Lindenhurst Rotary, created the Viet Duc Humanitarian Project so that the doctors were able to do a two-month study program. After working here in a New York hospital emergency room they will proceed to California for another hospital emergency room study program. This is the first time the doctors have visited America.
