New Kingston Valley Grange held its regular meeting Thursday night, Aug. 6. They elected a new Flag Bearer, Patrick Clark as Bill Ruff is unable to do it.
Lecturer Sandra announced the birthdays for the month: Doris Hosier the 2nd, and Karen Hull the 23rd.
Anniversary is Ken and Amy Taylor.
Monthly activity chairman Barbara Clark announced that the annual picnic will be held Sunday, Aug. 23 at 4 p.m. at the hall.
The sewing group will meet Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m.
The next regular meeting will be September 3.
Fred and Joann Lanzi of Wendell, N.C. and daughter Anne of Ashville, N.C. spent from July 30 to August 10 with his mother Wanda Lanzi and Joann’s mother, Betty Griffin at Arkville. While here they visited Junior. and Elaine Pultz and son Terry Wednesday evening at Clovesville; Wanda Lanzi accompanied them. Friday evening Fred Lanzi and mother were guests of Dan and Sheri Plummer.
Doris Hosier had guests recently: her brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Betty Mattice of Nellysford Va. her sisters Margie Jordie of Sheboygan, Wis. and Pat Webster of Baldwinsville, her niece Kathy Webster of Cape Cod and her son David and wife of West Deptford, N.J. Doris also spent a few days with her son David and Denise. They celebrated Doris and David’s birthday which was on August 2.
Faye Van Benschoten and son Andy spent Sunday with her son-in-law and daughter, Chuck and MaryAnn Schmiser. They celebrated Chuck’s birthday.
Dave and Georgia Taylor accompanied Ken and Amy Taylor and family to Middlefield to the sing-along concert at the Baptist Church. Curtis and Cedric played their violins.
Sheri Plummer attended a photography class Saturday at Woodstock.
Jean Gray spent two days the past week with her son-in-law and daughter John and Diane Ericson at Stamford.
Doug and Barb Condon attended the Jeff Watters wedding at Hobart Saturday and reception at the Holiday Inn at Oneonta. Barb played the organ at the church.
Betty Elliott accompanied Roy and Sally Scrimshaw of Delhi to Canandaigua for the weekend where they attended a wedding.
