Marie Pindar Colliton, 89, a resident of Grand Gorge, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Robinson Terrace, Stamford.
Marie was born July 31, 1923, in Grand Gorge, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Carman) Pindar. She graduated from Grand Gorge Central and from New York State College at Delhi.
Marie was employed as a dietician at schools in Hamburg, Schenectady and Gilboa. She also had worked at the Allen Center at South Kortright.
Marie enjoyed bowling and traveling with friends. She attended the Grand Gorge Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, John and Charles Colliton; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons; sisters, Eva McIntosh and Kay Lutz; and by nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held at the Miller Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May, 10, 2013.
A funeral services was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury. Pastor Dotty Morris, officiated.
Committal services will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Grand Gorge.
Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Grand Gorge United Methodist Church.
