Legion baseball season to open June 9
Nine Delaware County teams are entered in this year’s junior American Legion baseball league. The league will also include two teams from Oneonta, which will not be eligible for the Delaware County title, but will battle for the championship in Otsego County.
This year’s league is back to its original two-division format, and there are 10 playing dates. The season begins on Monday, June 9, and is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, July 10
The Delaware County semifinals are scheduled for Monday, July 14, and the championship game is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, at a neutral site. The top two county teams in each division will be participating in the playoffs.
