Larry Baker Jr.
Larry “Butch” Baker Jr., 56, of Kearneysville, WV passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Born June 9, 1957, he was the son of Elizabeth (Garrison) Baker of Dry Brook and the late Larry Baker Sr.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the Air National Guard.
Larry was employed at the Firestone Store in Martinsburg, WV for 20-plus years and was currently working for the Loudon County Public School in Virginia as a mechanic in the bus garage. He was an avid outdoorsman, excellent mechanic, and all around “Jack-of-all-Trades.”
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon (Todd) Baker; one son, Larry “LB” Baker III, and his companion, Tiffiny Thomas; one daughter, Jenny Baker and her companion, Robert Fury; one granddaughter, Aubree Baker; one brother, Lyle Baker and his wife, Valerie; two sisters, Laurie Rankin and her husband, Thomas; Lanore Miller and her husband, Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His sister, Lucinda Baker, predeceased him.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Brown Funeral Home’s South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, WV.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mr. Baker’s hometown of Margaretville.
