Jimmy DiGiacomo Auction to benefit Christmas Project scheduled for Dec. 6
Fleischmanns — Plans are underway to make this year’s Jimmy DiGiacomo Auction to benefit the Community Christmas Project a fun evening for everyone. The event will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, beginning at 4 p.m. and include both live and silent auctions and dinner and dancing at LaCabana Restaurant in Fleischmanns.
This year’s live auction will feature guest auctioneers Dorothy Maffei and Tony Lanza directing a short, but sweet assortment of items donated by area businesses and individuals. A silent auction affords the opportunity for attendees to contribute to a worthy cause and pick up holiday specials. The $25 entrance fee includes a buffet meal and bidding paddle. Advance registration is recommended. Tickets are $30 at the door.
Wendy Neif and Friends will provide music to dance by during the cocktail hour and following the auctions; thus ensuring that the evening will be fun from start to finish.
A buffet dinner will be served from 5:30 and offers an assortment that includes: Chicken Marsala, Fajitas, tacos, Quesadillas and chimichangas, plus side dishes, such as, rice and beans, mashed potatoes, green beans and salad. Dessert will feature homemade treats from area cooks.
The auction has become a holiday event staple and all proceeds benefit the Community Christmas Project. The Community Christmas Project is a grass-roots organization that provides food, clothing and holiday cheer to those in need throughout the area.
Anyone wanting to contribute auction items can bring them to NBT Bank in Margaretville until November 30. Advance ticket purchases can be made at NBT Bank, E & D Spirit Shop, LaCabana Restaurant and from Aggie Laub at 254-4299.
