Jane Brighton-Fleissig, born in Trencin Slovakia and a Holocaust survivor, died in Kingston on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in her 99th year.
She was the loving wife of the late Fred Brighton and the late Arthur Fleissig.
Surviving are her son, Walter Brighton and his wife, Carole of Woodstock; granddaughters, Pamela Brighton Cavar and her husband, Mirko of Manhattan and Deborah Brighton Manis and her husband, David of San Diego and great-grandsons, Ben, Zach and Aaron.
Jane was the proprietor of a millinery shop in Manhattan and the Brighton Guest House in Fleischmanns. She was a woman of great strength and amazing determination, who intensely loved her family, friends, music and the outdoors.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker Street, Woodstock.
