James F. More, 77, of Fallston, MD, and formerly of Mac More Road, Roxbury, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD.
He was born August 15, 1936, in Roxbury, the son of the late Donald and Leona (Ryer) More. Jim was a graduate of Roxbury Central School, Class of 1954. Upon graduation from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1958, he served with the US Army at Huntsville, AL. He married Carol Dintelman on June 1, 1963, in Catonsville, MD.
Jim worked as a computer systems director for several Maryland companies and retired from his position with the State of Maryland. He was a long-time generous contributor of the charities he held dear: American Indians, Humane Society, American Veterans, and local library organizations. Neighbors and friends were privileged to know this kind gentleman.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Carol and a brother, Arthur More. He is survived by cousins. John A. More of Kingston, and A. Grace More Woodward of Wakefield, RI, and also by his good and longtime friends Stan Kaplan and Jim and Kay O’Hara.
At Jim’s request, there is no funeral service scheduled. Burial of his cremation remains will be at a later date with arrangements by Schimunek Funeral Home, Bel Air, MD.
