Hospital Auxiliary plans 41st antique and flea market

The Auxiliary of Margaretville Hospital and Mountainside Residential Care Center will hold its 41st annual Antique and Flea Market featuring antiques, crafts, and general merchandise on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Margaretville Village Park.
Proceeds from the antique flea market will directly benefit the local health care facilities affiliated with Margaretville Hospital. A hospital-sponsored Health Fair will be held during the market offering free blood pressure testing and blood sugar screening.
Over the years, the market has grown and now includes approximately 150 vendors who will be displaying their wares.  Every year, thousands of customers have a choice of antiques and collectibles, jewelry, tools, artwork, flowers, handmade articles and toys.  There is plenty of free parking available.  Admission will be $2 for adults and children over 12.  For those of you who like to be there before 9 a.m. for first pick, there will be a $3 charge for early admission.
The auxiliary will contribute all proceeds from booth rentals to the hospital. In addition, the organization will donate the profits from its sale of refreshments throughout the day, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken barbecue, and its legendary bake sale.
