Honor mom and help the Humane Society
Delhi — Mother’s Day is approaching fast and the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society (HCHS) has some great gift giving ideas. Give the gift that gives twice, lasts a lifetime and is one-of-a-kind. Be a part of the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society’s Heart Walk and show Mom what she really means to you.
This Mother’s Day, honor your mother or grandmother and help the animals at the same time. Help HCHS pave another Heart Walk Path by being a part of the second installment of the society’s beautiful Heart Walk around the shelter grounds. You may have seen the first pathway, leading from the outdoor cat gazebo, 14 feet of beautiful, locally-quarried bluestone pavers, engraved with tributes to loved ones and honoring cherished pets.
On Saturday, May 23, the society will unveil the second installment of pavers, extending from the end of the first pathway toward the shelter. To be a part of that, be sure to get your order in by May 2. HCHS is selling four-inch by eight-inch pavers for $100 and eight inch by eight inch pavers for $200, which not only goes directly to help care for the animals, but which gives the donor a lasting tribute for all shelter visitors to admire. You can obtain an order form at the shelter, at the Gifts from the Heart store in Andes, or online at www.heartofthecatskills.org. Don’t miss out, get your order in by May 2! Orders received after May 2 will be a part of the third installment this fall.
It takes $1,400 each day to keep the shelter doors open. Your support helps care for over 300 dogs and cats currently at the shelter. Help continue HCHS’s on its mission to help the animals in this area.
And, whether or not you purchase a paver, please join us on May 23 for the unveiling of the newest part of our “pathway to forever homes.”
