Heart of the Catskills dance and auction set

Highmount — Tickets are on sale for the 10th annual Heart of the Catskills Spring Dance and Auction on Saturday, April 25 at Belleayre Mountain Highmount.
A major fund-raiser for the area’s largest animal shelter, the Humane Society’s Spring Dance and Auction blends music and goodies-for-bid on top of Belleayre Mountain to benefit the homeless dogs and cats of the Delaware County region. This year, the evening includes a buffet dinner, dancing to live band “onkor,” and silent and live auction excitement at Belleayre’s Lower Lodge.
“On the auction block so far are Mets’ tickets, plus the return of the Six Pack and Six Packette, favorites from last year,” notes Chairperson Dale Trethaway. “Other one-of-a-kind items include a Pure Catskills Package, a Romance Package, Yankees collectibles, and numerous other items that appeal to almost every interest. This special fund-raiser gives us the opportunity to acknowledge our staff for their consistently superb and caring work throughout the year, and allows us to enjoy a festive night out in the company of so many of our loyal supporters and friends.”
Tickets cost $55 and are available at Now & Then Video in Margaretville, Gifts from the Heart Store in Andes, Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, Route 10, Delhi, or by calling Dale Trethaway at 607 326-4780. For more information, call the shelter at 607 746-3080 or e-mail info@heartofthecatskills.org. No tickets will be sold at the door.
