Harry T. Regan, 96, a resident of Margaretville since 1982, died August 12, 2013 at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville.
Harry was born June 25, 1917 in Yonkers, the son of Henry and Catherine (Towers) Regan. He never married. Harry served in the U.S. Army from April 29, 1941 until Oct. 31, 1945. He was a sergeant in the 134th Medical Regiment when he was discharged.
He was employed as an electrical engineer from 1957 until 1970 at the U.S. Navy Yard in New York. Later he was a librarian for the Rosenblatt law office in New York City where he did research work.
H e was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Margaretville. He enjoyed playing golf. He attended Manhattan College and St. John’s University in New York City.
Surviving are two nephews, John and Arthur Roslund, and a niece, Marilyn Edie. Several cousins also survive.
A committal service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Yonkers.
