Harold J. Delucantonio, 61, passed away from lung cancer on August 21, 2012 in Bonita Springs, FL.
Born in Detroit, MI, he is survived by a brother, David, and sister, Sally.
Harold owned a store called The Woodshop, located next to the old firehouse on Main Street in Fleischmanns where he built high-end custom cabinetry and was often seen selling his Adirondack chairs outside. He was a long-term resident of Fleischmanns, from the ’70s hippie era, until 1989, when he moved to Florida. In addition, Harold was a musician, master woodworker, charter boat captain and owner of Naples Party Tents. He thought the Catskills were the most beautiful place on earth, and enjoyed a wonderful life there in construction, woodworking and upholstery, fishing, playing music, reading, and being with his best buddies.
A memorial service for Harold will be held on the day of this publication, Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Maine Black Bear Seafood Restaurant on Route 28 in Arkville. All are invited.
