Grand re-opening at Andes Library planned for March 21

Andes — The trustees and staff of the Andes Public Library invite everyone to a Grand Re-Opening Party on Saturday, March 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. After a renovation, re-structuring and energy-efficient remodeling by contractors Denison-Finn, the library has moved back from temporary quarters to its permanent site at 242 Main Street in Bohlmann Park. The work was accomplished with grants from the State of New York, the O’Connor Foundation, and donations from local residents.
This will be an opportunity to see the new space. With a stairway now in a central location, the upstairs is for the first time available to library patrons, including comfortable areas to do research in the local history collection, to leisurely browse for books or DVDs, or to simply sit and read in a quiet setting.
Both the children’s and community rooms are enlarged. Library trustees and staff welcome one and all to familiarize themselves with the library, its programs and services, and to socialize with neighbors and staff while enjoying punch and sweet and savory refreshments.
