Folk art carving demos Sat. July 11 at market

Deb Rendo will demonstrate folk art carving on Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market at the Round Barn in Halcottsville.
She works in pine, creating her own patterns. Each piece is cut on a ban saw then carved for details and character. Her artwork is then hand painted and antiqued to give it that authentic look. Her themes range from Americana, Halloween, Christmas, to a great assortment of barnyard animals as well as birdhouses and signs.
This week’s demonstrations are part of a weekly event from 10 a.m.-noon at the Pakatakan Farmers’ Market, sponsored by the Catskill Artisans’ Guild. For a complete event schedule, visit: www.pfmarket.org.
The Pakatakan Farmers’ Market is held rain or shine. The market is located at the historic Round Barn on Route 30 near the Delaware County hamlet of Halcottsville.
