Clint Black at Belleayre on Saturday
Highmount — Clint Black, an artist who shot to international stardom with his debut release, brings his hit-filled show to the Belleayre Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 13 at 8 p.m.
Clint has long been heralded as one of country music’s brightest stars. He has transcended categorization to become one of the most successful artists in the music world.
Clint has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, starting with his 1989 smash debut, the critically acclaimed, triple-platinum selling “Killin’ Time.” CMT lists this album as one of the 100 Greatest Albums in Country Music.
The album boasted five No. 1 hits and won Clint a collection of awards that included: Country Music Association Male Vocalist of the Year and the American Music Awards Favorite New Male Country Artist.
“Put Yourself in My Shoes” followed in 1990, and quickly went triple platinum. Since then, Clint has had nearly two dozen No. 1 hit singles, and almost as many Top 5 and Top 10 hits - all of them his original compositions. His sizzling live shows, backed by a top-notch band, are always something special.
In 2003, he founded Equity Music Group. Clint’s highly anticipated debut album for the label, “Spend My Time,” received great critical acclaim, and the label went on to earn Billboard’s No. 2 Independent Imprint of the Year and No. 4 Independent Label of the Year across all genres in 2006.
Clint memorably flexed his acting chops with a cameo in “Maverick” (alongside Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster), as well as with roles in films such as “Going Home” (with Jason Robards) and “Flicka 2” in 2010. He has also performed on TV shows including “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Las Vegas,” “King of the Hill” and many others.
In addition to his established business ventures and various charity foundation efforts, Clint branched out even further this year with an appearance on Donald Trump’s hit reality series “Celebrity Apprentice.”
Tickets for the Clint Black concert are: $76/66/56/46/25 lawn.
