Chamber mixer tonight in Roxbury
If you think the only kind of bustle in Roxbury is 1890s ladies’ wear, you need to get a ticket to tonight’s “A Taste of Roxbury,” the next mixer sponsored by the Greater Margaretville Chamber of Commerce as the organization expands its mission to support businesses and opportunities throughout our region. The evening activities begin tonight, Wednesday, at 5 p.m. and conclude by 7:30 p.m.
“With at least six enterprises in the process of transformation and several successful home-based businesses blooming behind the hedges, Roxbury was a perfect location for our next mixer to educate our members and local entrepreneurs about the groundswell of opportunity in this historic town,” said GMCC President John Riedl. Mixer guests will enjoy a “Taste of Roxbury” buffet at The Roxbury Motel and take a first time offer to tour its new theme rooms and spa never before open to the public since its grand debut of last summer.
From there take a narrated hamlet tour via horse drawn coach with stops at the two Roxbury Arts Group Galleries and the newly transformed Cassie’s Cafe.
When all is said and done enjoy a cup of coffee or a nightcap (cash bar) at the Public Lounge. Participating Roxbury Restaurants include Cassie’s Cafe, The East Branch, Fanes Family Deli, Mary’s Cooking at Shephard Hills, and The T-Bar. Tickets to this all-inclusive event are $15. Interested parties can make reservations on the GMCC website www.margaretville.org or by calling 845-586-3300.
