Chamber concert event Sunday in Denver

Roxbury — A unique combination of chamber musicians will perform an eclectic program on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. at The Roxbury Arts Group’s Old School Baptist Church in the Denver Valley. Members of the Little Delaware Chamber Players and Youth Ensemble will join forces in a concert.
Violinist Julie Signiter and cellist Benjamin Whittenburg will be joined by three members of the Little Delaware Youth Ensemble for the performance. They are Nathaniel Efthimiou on violin, Esther Efthimiou on viola and Jacob Efthimiou on cello, all of Delhi.
The group will be presenting music by Boccherini, Corelli, Gliere, Goltermann, Handel, Mark O’Connor and Sibeluis in which all members of the quintet will be featured as soloists.
Signitzer is the founder of both ensembles and finds the experience of combining the two groups exciting and rewarding. “It is amazing to work with children from an early age and to suddenly find them mature enough to perform together in this capacity. They are inspired musicians and wonderful people.”
This will be the last of four programs presented this season at The Old School Baptist Church. The beautiful venue has near perfect acoustics and is a perfect setting for chamber music. Admission is $12. The Old School Baptist Church is at 6024 county Route 36. Call 607 326-7908 for information.
