Burning ban now in effect for all of Delaware County

James Eisel Sr., chairman of the Delaware County Board of Supervisors, has issued a state of emergency for Delaware County. Effective immediately, a do not burn order has been issued for the entire county.
Due to the lack of rain and dry conditions over the past couple of weeks, grass, brush and wild land fires are a dangerous possibility. All intentional burning including burn barrels, outdoor fireplaces or brush piles is prohibited until April 27. On that date conditions will be reviewed and an extension of the burn ban may be issued.
