Bertha Cammer, 94, of Roxbury, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville. She was born July 27, 1914, the daughter of Orley and Effie (Morse) Slauson. She married Lynn Cammer on June 1, 1933, in Roxbury.
Bertha was a cook at Kirkside Adult Home in Roxbury and a seamstress.
She was a lifetime resident of Roxbury; a member of the United Methodist Church in Roxbury and a member of the Roxbury Senior Citizens’ Club.
Surviving are four daughters, Marie Mead (Ralph), Jean Cammer, Helen Faraci (Charlie) and Elaine Moseley (David); two sons, Larry Cammer (Jane) and Roy Cammer (Debbie); 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister. Elsie Furman; two brothers, Milton Slauson (Charis) and Virgil Slauson (Beverly) and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lynn Cammer, April 14, 1956, her son, Robert Cammer, in January 1990; her brothers, Floyd Slauson, Grant Slauson, Marshall Slauson, and Marion Slauson also a sister, Hulda Morse.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Roxbury with Rev. William Hawes and Rev. Richard Dykstra officiating.
Burial is in the Methodist Cemetery in Roxbury.

Funeral arrangements were by the Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
