Beatrice M. Buel, 81, formerly of Gilboa, passed away peacefully with her family around her. She had recently moved in with family in Winsted, CT and spent her last months very happily surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bea was born May 17, 1932 at Roxbury, the daughter of Ward and Mamie (Conrad) Brand.
She married Ross A. Buel on October 7, 1950 at Windham. Ross died on October 29, 2007.
Bea attended Roxbury Central School and was a former member of the Conesville Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Robert Slater and Darlene and Everett Slater; three sons and their spouses, Galen and Gladys Buel, Daryl and Cindy Buel, and Pat and Eileen Buel; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marge Wayman, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 4 until 7 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 at the Miller Funeral Home with Revs. Wayne Marquit and Dottie Morris officiating.
A committal service will be held at a later date at Manorkill Cemetery.
