Area Police News: September 28, 2011

Wayne D. Ecker, 44, of Mount Tremper was arrested by the Shandaken Police Department Friday and charged with DWI after he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
Ecker was arraigned in Shandaken Justice Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail.

Jeffrey R. Bouton, 45, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police on Friday and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and growing marijuana after police came to his home in response to a 911 call.
Bouton was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on October 3.

Edward J. Roberts, 45, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Main Street in Fleischmanns for a traffic violation. Police say they charged Roberts when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .09 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on October 10.

Raymond T. Weale, 41, of Stamford was arrested by state police Friday and charged with petit larceny and third-degree trespass after he allegedly entered a Stamford home and stole $200 in cash.
Weale was arraigned in Village of Stamford Justice Court and sent to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail to await further court action.

James W. Brooks, 54, of Jefferson was arrested by state police on Saturday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on River Street in Stamford for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Brooks when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .09 percent.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on October 6.

Ramon Alvarado, 44, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police on Saturday and charged with menacing following a domestic dispute with family members at a residence on Main Street in Fleischmanns.
Alvarado was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

Thomas Neff, 77, of Stamford was arrested by state police on Saturday and charged with DWI after he allegedly struck a fire hydrant on River Street in Stamford and then left the scene.
Neff was arraigned in Village of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail to await further court action.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies report that they investigated a fatal ATV accident Sunday on Fall Clove Road in the Town of Andes.
Deputies report that Shaun Wynne, 31, of Peekskill struck a tree while riding his ATV. No other details were available at press time Tuesday.
Deputies say the accident is still under investigation and that alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the accident.
