Area Police News: September 21, 2011

Aaron N. Engel, 36, of Margaretville was arrested by state police on September 10 and charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal trespass following a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend over visitation rights concerning their daughter. Police say alcohol was involved in the incident.
Engel was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail pending further court action.

David A. Dykstra, 24, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on September 11 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police say they were questioning Dykstra over an unrelated incident when the arrest happened. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on September 29.

In a related incident, state police say they also charged Jeremey T. Aubry, 21, of Margaretville with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police say they were questioning Aubry over the same incident that led to Dykstra’s charge.
Aubry was also issued an appearance ticket returnable in Middletown Justice Court on September 29.

Salomon N. Rodriguez, 18, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police on September 13 and faces a number of charges following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend during which he allegedly dropped a child on the street. Police say Rodriguez was intoxicated at the time of the incident during which he allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face and tried to choke her. The child was not injured in the incident.
Rodriguez was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and two felony counts of possession of a forged instrument for allegedly being in possession of forged Social Security card and forged permanent resident card.
He was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail to await further court action.

David A. Dykstra, 24, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on September 14 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on county Route 38 in Arkville.
Dykstra was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

Dominic Cilento, 26, of Roxbury was arrested by state police on September 14 on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Middletown Justice Court.
Cilento was arraigned before Town Justice Glen George and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
Cilento is scheduled to reappear in court on September 28.

Shandaken Police report the arrest on September 13 of Roseanne Doherty-Vinicor, 61, of Woodstock who they charged with DWAI after she was stopped for an insufficient tail lamp.
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Shandaken Justice Court at a later date.
