Area Police News: Oct. 28, 2009

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident in the Town of Bovina on October 17. The vehicle, driven by Cody M. Weber, 24, of Bovina was east bound on county Route 6. Weber lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle left the roadway and landed about 100 feet from the road. Weber was taken to O’Connor Hospital and then to Bassett Hospital for his injuries. Weber was ticketed for DWI, failure to keep right, and moving from lane unsafely. The tickets are returnable in Bovina Town Court on Nov. 17 at 1 p.m.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted by ENCON Police arrested Erik J. Shook, 21, of Catskill for DWI on October 23. Deputies alleged that Shook was driving his vehicle erratically on state Highway 28 in the Town of Delhi and when he was stopped, it was discovered that Shook was intoxicated. Shook was ticketed for DWI and failure to keep right. The tickets are returnable in Delhi Town Court on Nov. 10.

Brendan M. Barrett, 26, of Delhi was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI and aggravated unlicensed operation after he was stopped on Meredith Street in Delhi for a traffic violation. Police report that they charged Barrett when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .11 percent. Barrett was arraigned in Town of Delhi Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.

Michael D. Ralph, 50, of Margaretville was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly became disruptive in the Margaretville Hospital emergency room. Ralph was arraigned in the Town of Middletown Justice Court ad remanded tot he county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on Oct. 28.

Ricardo Silva-Ramos, 33, of Fleischmanns was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief following a domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend. Silva-Ramos was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear on Oct. 28.

Christopher Andresen, 27, of Yonkers was arrested by state police Sunday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 in Andes for speeding. Police say Andresen was driving 64 miles per hour in the village speed limit zone of 30 miles per hour and that they charged him with DWI after his blood alcohol content allegedly tested .11 percent. Andresen was arraigned in Town of Andes Justice Court and released to reappear on Nov. 24 at 1 p.m.
