Area Police News: March 31, 2010

State police arrested Amanda A. Cilento, 20, of Oliverea last week Monday on a warrant issued by the Town of Middletown Justice Court charging her with second-degree criminal trespass, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Cilento was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. She is scheduled to reappear in Middletown Justice Court on April 14.
In a related case, state police arrested Matthew A. Santiago, 21, of Fleischmanns last week Monday charging him with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon. Police say that Santiago violated a stay away order of protection that had been granted to Amanda Cilento and that Cilento had complained to them that she had been physically harassed by Santiago.
Santiago was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $200 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear at a later date.
State police report the arrest last week Monday of Ryan K. Brown, 25, of Grand Gorge for third-degree assault following what police say was a domestic dispute.
Brown was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Court.
Holly J. Grapes, 50, of Andes was arrested last week Monday and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after she was stopped on Main Street in Andes for a traffic violation.
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Andes Justice Court.
James A. Lamborn, 60, of Margaretville was arrested by state police Thursday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 in Arkville for a traffic violation.
Lamborn was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Middletown Justice Court.
Joseph P. VanBlarcom, 33, of Margaretville was arrested by state police Friday and charged with DWI drugs after he was stopped on Route 28 in Margaretville for a traffic violation.
VanBlarcom was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Middletown Justice Court on April 12.
Richard E. Pavia, 51, of Grand Gorge was arrested by state police Friday and charged with DWAI after he was stopped on county Route 38 in Arkville.
Police say they charged Pavia when his blood alcohol level tested .07 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable on April 22.
Michael W. Sprague, 26, of Walton was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 10 in Hamden.
Sprague was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Hamden Justice Court at a later date.
David R. Bartlem, 49, of New York City was arrested by state police Saturday and charged with DWI after he was stopped for speeding on Lower Main Street in Andes.
Bartlem was arraigned in Andes Justice Court where he posted $500 cash bail and was released to reappear on April 22.
Margaret A. Neale, 27, of Walton was arrested Saturday by state police and charged with DWI. Police say they charged Neale after observing her vehicle parked along Route 10 in Hamden.
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Hamden Court on April 12.
Jason M. Swart, 27, of Roxbury was arrested Saturday by state police and charged with DWI after he stopped in Grand Gorge to fix a car door that would not shut.
Police say they charged Swart with DWI after his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .15 percent.
Adam S. Bright, 27, of Stamford was arrested Sunday by state police and charged with felony DWI after he was stopped in Stamford for a traffic violation. Police say they charged Bright when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .15 percent.
Bright was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Stamford Court on April 15.
