Area Police News: March 18, 2009

Christine M. Winner, 22, of Andes was arrested Saturday and charged with DWI after she was stopped by state police on county Route 1 in Andes for a traffic violation. Police say they charged Winner when her blood alcohol content allegedly tested .08 percent. Winner was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Andes Justice Court on April 16.

Wayne W. Bender, 26, of Arkville was arrested Sunday and charged with DWI after he was stopped by state police on Main Street in Margaretville for a traffic violation. State police say they charged Bender when his blood alcohol content allegedly tested .19 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on March 30.

Christina L. Schender, 42, of Walton was arrested Sunday by state police on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Colchester Justice Court. She was arraigned in the Town of Colchester Court and released on $100 cash bail to reappear later.

Jason L. Butler, 27, of Downsville was arrested by state police last week Monday and charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree criminal contempt after he allegedly made phone calls to a woman in violation of a court order of protection. He was released to appear in Village of Stamford Justice Court on March 18.

Jeremy D. Heady, 21, of Clinton Corners was arrested Friday and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped by state police on Route 23 in Stamford for a traffic violation. Heady was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on April 2.

Rachael I. Bunce, 26, of Rochester was arrested Saturday and charged with DWI after she was stopped by state police on Route 23 in Stamford for a traffic violation. Police say they charged Bunce after her blood alcohol content allegedly tested .19 percent. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Village of Stamford Justice Court on April 2.
