Area Police News: June 27, 2012

James A. Hannigan, 48, of Jefferson was arrested by state police on June 21 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on South Street in Stamford for driving on the wrong side of the street.
Police say they charged Hannigan when his blood alcohol content allegedly tested .17 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Harpersfield Justice Court on July 9.

Jessica L. Boyer, 29, of Shandaken was arrested by state police on June 22 and charged with DWI after she was stopped on Route 30 in Margaretville for speeding.
Police say they charged Boyer when her blood alcohol content allegedly tested .14 percent. She was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on July 16 at 9 a.m.

Two Syracuse residents are in the county jail facing drug charges after the car in which they were riding was stopped on Route 30 in Roxbury by state police on June 22 for a traffic violation.
State police say they arrested the driver William C. Crump, 39, and a passenger, Cayse L. Copley, 25, charging Crump with DWI and Crump and Copley with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell after a search of their vehicle allegedly turned up a quantity of methamphetamine.
Both men were arraigned in Town of Roxbury Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.

John R. Perrone, 54, of Stamford was arrested by state police on June 24 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 30 in Grand Gorge for a traffic violation. Police say Perrone refused to take a breath test but was charged with DWI when he failed a field sobriety test. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Roxbury Justice Court on June 27.

Roger J. Gilbertson, 42, of Hancock was arrested by state police on June 20 and charged with DWAI after he was stopped on Route 23 in Harpersfield for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged Gilbertson when his blood alcohol level allegedly tested .06 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Harpersfield on July 23.
