Area Police News: June 11, 2014

A Hobart man faces a number of charges after he was arrested on June 3 by state police after he allegedly entered the Stamford apartment of his friend’s ex girlfriend and threatened her with a knife.
Police say they charged Carlos A. Andrades, with first-degree burglary, second-degree menacing, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving and speed not reasonable and prudent.
Police say they arrested Andrades at his home on Odell Lake Road in the Town of Harpersfield and recovered a knife allegedly used in the incident.
Andrades was arraigned in Town of Stamford Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail to await a felony hearing.
Mikhail E. Lundberg, 24, of Grand Island was arrested by state police on June 6 and charged with DWI drugs after he was stopped on Route 30 in Grand Gorge for driving 25 mph under the speed limit. Police say they had responded to the location to answer to a call reporting an erratic driver.
Police say that when they stopped Lundberg they smelled the odor of burning marijuana and that he failed a field sobriety contest.
Lundberg was arraigned in Town of Roxbury Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail.
Robert W. VanBuskirk, 59, of Dover Plains was arrested by state police on June 7 and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 28 in Fleischmanns for a traffic violation.
Police say they charged VanBuskirk when his blood alcohol lever allegedly tested .19 percent.
He was issued a ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on June 19.
