Sheriff’s investigators arrested Michael H. Vogel, 22, of Delhi on June 24 on an arrest warrant issued by the Town of Delhi Justice Court. Vogel was charged with one count of second-degree forgery, one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of petit larceny.
Vogel was arraigned in the Town of Delhi Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail. He is scheduled to re-appear in court at a later date for further court action.
On Monday, June 24, Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged a Walton man with felony DWI following their investigation of a single car, roll-over motor vehicle accident on county Highway 21 in the Town of Walton.
Deputies arrested and charged Robert T. Bullis, 41, with felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to keep right after Bullis lost control of his vehicle which then struck an earth embankment and rolled over.
Bullis was arraigned in the Town of Walton Court and released on recognizance pending future court appearances.
On June 15 the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested Theodore Mavrukas, 71, of Harpersfield for one count of forcible touching.
Mavrukas was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Harpersfield Court on June 23.
On Tuesday evening, June 24 Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies and state troopers responded to and investigated a report of an on-going, violent domestic incident in the Village of Stamford.
Following the investigation, deputies arrested and charged Ty J. Rothlauf, 48, of Stamford with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Rothlauf is accused of unlawfully restraining and preventing the victim from leaving the residence, obstructing the victim’s breathing, and breaking a telephone the victim was using to attempt to call 911.
Rothlauf was arraigned in the Town of Stamford Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail.
On June 25 Delaware County Deputies arrested Jason Clinton, 39, of Walton on an arrest warrant issued by the Delaware County Court for failure to comply with financial obligations imposed upon him as part of his 2013 sentencing on a charge of burglary. He was remanded to the county jail pending further court action.
On June 26 Delaware County Sheriff Deputies responded to a Pines Brook Road address in the Town of Walton for a reported larceny in progress. As a result, deputies arrested Brandon C. Lewis, 18, of Walton for attempted petit larceny and trespass.
Lewis was arranged in the Town of Walton Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. Lewis is to return to the Town of Walton Court at a later date.
On June 26 Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested John A. Burrows, 41, of Walton for second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. The charges are a result of an incident where Burrows allegedly refused to comply with an order to stop interfering with the duties of the Walton Dog Control Officer. Further, after being advised he was under arrest, Burrows had to be subdued with a Taser to affect the arrest. Burrows was processed and released on an appearance ticket to return to Walton Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
McKenzie C. Alexander, 23, of Arkville was arrested by state police on June 29 and charged with attempted third-degree burglary after he allegedly attempted to burglarize the Arkville Market store.
Police say he was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail to await further court action.
