Area Police News: July 18, 2012

Joseph P. VanBlarcom, 36, of Arkville was arrested by state police on July 15 and faces a number of charges after he was stopped on Route 23 in Gilboa for speeding.
Police say they charged VanBlarcom with speeding, DWAI and also with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after they allegedly found one and-one-half grams of cocaine in his possession. He was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Gilboa Justice Court on July 26.

Kenneth R. Adams, 16, and Marcquiece J. Okundaye, 24, both of Stamford were arrested by state police on July 13 and charged with petit larceny after they allegedly dumped to garbage bag and a pizza box in the dumpster the Country Store after they had been told not to do it and that the dumpster was private property.
Both men were issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Harpersfield Justice Court on July 23.

John S. Ohalloran, 21, of Rhinebeck was arrested by state police on July 13 and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license after he was stopped on Route 28 in Andes. He was arraigned in Town of Middletown Just ice Court and released to reappear on August 9 at 10 a.m.

Jonathan Villano, 28, of Highland was arrested by state police on July 11 and charged with driving with a suspended license after he was stopped on Route 28 in Arkville.
Villano was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and released to reappear on September 8 at 9 a.m.

Emily L. Collins, 27, of Wells Bridge was arrested by state police on July 11 and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after the car in which she was a passenger was stopped on Route 23 in Stamford for having an expired inspection sticker.
Collins was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Harpersfield Justice Court on July 30.
