Area Police News: July 14, 2014
Mathew N. Howard, 25, of Hobart was arrested by state police on July 10 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding after he was stopped on Main Street in Roxbury.
He was arraigned in Town of Roxbury justice Court and released to reappear on July 23 at 7 p.m.
A Fleischmanns resident was arrested by state police on July 12 and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment after he allegedly fired four rounds from a .223 caliber rifle in the direction of a neighbor’s home.
Police say they charged Zsolt J. Zilahy, 41, after receiving complaints from his neighbors on Woolheater Road.
Police say there were no injuries in the incident and that they have requested a mental evaluation of Mr. Zilahy.
Following his arrest, Zilahy was arraigned in Town of Middletown Justice Court and remanded tot eh county jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail.
Korey O. Bush, 18, of Andes was arrested by state police on July 14 and faces several counts after he was allegedly discover on the roof of the Freshtown Marketplace in Margaretville.
Police say they charged Bush with third-degree trespass, false personation, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Felicia L. Demarco, 67, of Hobart was arrested by state police on July 9 and charged with DWI after she was stopped on county Route 18 in Stamford following a car/deer accident.
Police say they issued Demarco an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on August 12 at 6 p.m.
