Area Police News: Feb. 4, 2009

Nehemiah A. Clark, 29, of Grand Gorge was arrested by state police Friday on a bench warrant issued by the Town of Roxbury Justice Court for failure to appear following an earlier arrest on petit larceny and vehicle and traffic charges. Clark was arraigned and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail pending further court action.

Melvin L. Burgher, 36, of Hobart was arrested Friday by state police and charged with DWI after he was stopped on Route 10 in Hobart for speeding. Burgher was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on Feb. 10.

Jeremy Aubry, 18, of Margaretville faces a number of charges after he was stopped Saturday on Main Street in Fleischmanns for not wearing a seat belt. State police say they charged Aubry with DWI, possession of alcohol by a person under 21, unlawful possession of marijuana and with two traffic tickets.
Aubry was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on Feb. 16.

Kyle J. Oakley, 18, of Bloomville was charged with possession of alcohol by a person under 21 after he was stopped by state police on Route 10 in Hobart Saturday. Oakley was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Stamford Justice Court on Feb. 10.

Wayne E. Lawrence, 59, of state Route 28, Arkville was charged by state police with DWI early Sunday morning following a traffic stop on Route 28 in the Town of Middletown. Lawrence was issued an appearance ticket returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on March 26.

Donald H. Miller, 37, of Arkville was charged by state police with felony DWI after he was stopped Sunday on Route 28 in Margaretville for a having no license plate. Miller was issued appearance tickets returnable in Town of Middletown Justice Court on Feb. 9.

Sean M. Gillespie, 31, of Mahopac was charged by state police with DWI drugs after he ran off Route 28 in the Town of Andes on Sunday.
Gillespie was issued an appearance ticket returnable on Feb. 26 in the Town of Andes Justice Court.
